A house fire is reported in the United States every 90 seconds and it is estimated that children are responsible for over 100,000 fires each year.
To help support efforts to prevent deadly home fires, the Cornhusker Motor Club Foundation provided funds to purchase a new fire safety training trailer
for the State Fire Marshal's Office in Lincoln. This simulator unit is utilized at schools and safety events across the state to train children on how
to prevent fires and safely
escape from dangerous situations. Scheduling requests must be sent to ray.nance@nebraska.gov.
For information about fire and home safety, visit the U.S. Fire Administration's web site at www.usfa.dhs.gov.
This web site provides valuable information, downloadable brochures, and impactful video footage. Educational materials are available for adults and children.
